The City of Tontitown is accepting applications for the position of Fire Inspector/Code Enforcement; this is a full-time position. This position reports to the Fire Chief and will be assigned various tasks and duties. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. The right candidate will engage the public in a polite and professional manner, have proper phone etiquette and computer skills.

Qualifications:
Anyone who qualifies for such a position with the City of Tontitown will be required to also pass a background check, a drug screen, and a medical fitness for duty physical following any offer of employment.

 Job Descriptions:
The incumbent will respond to a variety of emergency situations including, but not limited to fires, accidents, medical and rescue emergencies, and hazardous materials incidents. May perform search and rescue, ventilation, fire suppression, and hazardous materials clean-up duties at the scene of a fire or accident, or other emergency situation. Effectively communicate with patients and bystanders and relay information from the field to the hospital. Enforce laws and ordinances of the city, including but not limited to, construction practice, regulations, zoning ordinances, and the city’s nuisance provisions. Investigate and remedy complaints received from citizens, officials, and the city employees relating to code violations. This position will be a 40-hour week, Monday-Friday.
