STATEMENT REGARDING FLOOD DAMAGES FROM MAYOR COLVIN

May 7, 2021

As many of you are aware, Benton County Judge Barry Moehring declared a disaster due to the flood damages that were caused by the recent heavy rains received across Northwest Arkansas.  Washington County Judge Joseph Wood has not declared a disaster as of yet.

In order for Washington County to declare a disaster and be eligible for potential disaster funding, the County needs to meet a certain dollar threshold for public infrastructure and private property damages.

If you or your neighbors have sustained damages to your homes due to flooding in the last week, please reach out to Washington County Judge Joseph Wood’s office at 479-444-1700, or my office at 479-361-2700 or by email to adminasst@tontitownar.gov to report any losses sustained..

Sincerely,

Mayor Paul Colvin, Jr.
